John Patrick Keppler, 31, of Tallwood Lane, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 7, 2008 at his home.

He was born on July 12, 1977 in Burlington, the son of Frederick and Jane Buckley Keppler.

He was a graduate of Burlington High School. Recently John started his own business installing tile and his work was amazing.

John’s one true love in his life was his daughter Brooke. He looked forward to the times he spent with her and cherished every precious moment. She was his world.

Known for his sense of humor, John loved to play practical jokes. He made many people laugh. His love for his parents was deep and helping them was a priority. Spending time watching a movie or eating a dinner with them was a pleasure.

John spent many summers on Saratoga Lake at the family camp. He loved being there. He also loved music and had fun being a DJ at Broadacres.

John had many special people in his life who loved him for the good person he was and for his beautiful heart. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his daughter Brooke Keppler of Wilmington North Carolina, his brothers and sisters, Fred Keppler, III and his wife Tammy of Staten Island, NY, Colleen Rouille and her husband Jeff of Burlington, Susan Keppler of Swanton, Michael Keppler and Fran Keppler of Burlington and Essex Junction, Kim Rouille and her husband Dennis of South Burlington. Fr. John Patrick Bertolucci, a dear friend of the family who John was named after. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, Christa, Charlie, Sierra, Alycia and Joseph Keppler, Jason and Brittany Baron, Andrew and Brandon Rouille, Sandra, Patrick and Katy Chittenden, Lindsay, Kyle & Mikayla Keppler, Lea, Lauren and Steven MaComber and Jacob and Jordan Rouille. John is also survived by his many special friends especially Julie Clayton who has had a special place in his heart for over 20 years and Pete Bertelson who always stood by his side.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11am on Saturday October 11 in St. Mark’s Church. Visiting Hours will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday October 10 in the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road, Burlington, VT.
