| | | Nancy Bove Peck, 72 of Colchester, died peacefully Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008 in the Starr Farm Nursing Center in Burlington.
She was born in Rutland on Aug. 21, 1936, the daughter of Robert and Eileen (Mahar) Bove.
Nancy was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy, class of 1953. On Sept. 21, 1966, she married William Russell Peck, Jr. She had been employed for many years with Longe Brothers Store in Burlington and later with the Chittenden Cider Mill in South Burlington. She belonged to Holy Cross Parish.
Nancy is survived by her husband, William R. Jr. of Colchester; 3 step-children, Stephen Peck and his wife, Michele, of Fairfax, VA, William Peck of Long beach, CA, and Charles Peck of Springfield, MA; 1 sister, Jean Marceau of Winooski and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Robert Bove and a sister, Terry Monaghan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 12 at 10:00 AM in Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in her memory may be made to the Humane Society of Chittenden County, 142 Kindness Court, South Burlington, VT 05403. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7:00 pm in the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, North Chapel, 934 North Ave., Burlington.
