  VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES

Pearl H. Brassard, 93 of Burlington, has left us peacefully to be with her Lord, Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008 in the Burlington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the last survivor of a family of 15 siblings.

She was born in Burlington on Dec. 12, 1914, the daughter of Fred and Alzina (Brileya) Bissonette.

On May 16, 1936, Pearl married the love of her life, Lucien O. Brassard in Holy Cross Church in Colchester. Mr. Brassard predeceased her on July 13, 1996. She was a longtime member of St. Anthony’s parish and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella.

If it was not for the love and care given to my mother by my sister-in-law April and her husband Charlie Hall, my mother would not have gone this far down the road. Their love for her was as if she was their mom.

She is survived by her son, Rodger R. Brassard and his companion, Pegg Wilson, of South Burlington; 2 grandchildren, Glenn and his wife, Laura, of Plattsburgh, NY, and Heather Youngblood and her husband, Dylan, of Eagle River, Alaska; 7 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews of which include 2 special nieces, Dorothy Germain and Audrey DeForge and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was also predeceased by her parents, a daughter-in-law, Linda Peters Brassard on July 27, 1993, and 7 brothers and 7 sisters.

Our thanks go to the Burlington Health and Rehab Center for all the care and love mom received in her last few weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 am in St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church with interment to follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in her memory may be made to Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, VT 05446. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Ready Funeral and Cremation Service, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Road. To send her family online condolences, please visit www.readyfuneral.com
