| | | Janet L. Salsman, 58, died on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at the Fletcher Allen Health Care due to complication after a courageous battle with cancer.
Janet was born in St. Albans, VT on November 11, 1950 the daughter of Mary Bergeron and the late Donald Bergeron. She was a graduate of Fanny Allen School of Nursing and dedicated her life to her nursing profession. She was employed with the DeGoesbriand Hospital, Fletcher Allen Health Care and the American Red Cross.
Steven and Janet made precious memories taking camping and fishing trips together or taking rides in the country. She could be found gardening or working with her crafts. Her family, extended family, grandchildren and friends were dear to her and time spent with them was treasured.
She is survived by her husband Steven Salsman of N. Ferrisburg, two daughters Lori Basiliere of Burlington and Tricia Basiliere of N. Ferrisburg, mother Mary Bergeron of Addison, sister Brenda Bergeron of Middlebury, brother Andrew Bergeron of Bristol, mother-in-law Lorraine Salsman of Ipswich, MA two grandchildren Kira DeGray and Ayden Basiliere and two nephews Justen and Diana Nordquist and Walker Bergeron. She was predeceased by her dad Donald Bergeron and two infant sons James and Andrew Basiliere.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at the Ready Funeral Home, South Chapel, 261 Shelburne Rd, Burlington officiated by Barry Barkley and Roger Cleveland. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Fletcher Allen Health Care, Breast Care Center, Development Office, 111 Colchester Ave, Burlington, VT 05401.
