Personalization Ideas for The Funeral or Memorial Service

There are many ways that families choose to personalize the service for their loved ones. Some families choose to make-up picture boards to share snap-shots of the deceased's life with those that come to share in the gathering and services. Some families choose to bring in meaningful personal items to display in and around the casket during the visitation. Items such as: fishing poles, tackle boxes, quilts, veteran's uniform, flag, bowling balls, garden tools, goodbye letters from Grandchildren, playing cards, golf accessories, etc.

The funeral process is an event for those that have been left behind. It is a time for the family and friends to come together to console one another, as well as, to celebrate a life that was lived. Personalizing the event with the aforementioned ideas, playing your loved one's favorite music during the visitation, sharing pictures and favorite stories - are all ways that we can help remember our loved one the way they would like to be remembered.
