Marcia passed away Wednesday at her home. Per her request to be "burried in an old fashioned manner" graveside services will be Thursday afternoon at 4:00 p.m Instead of flowers, Marcia requested memorials be directed to an educational fund for Summre and Skye Bartlett.

| | | Funeral services for Marcia Cade, age 62, of Lenox, who died Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at her home were held Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Grove Cemetery at 4:00 p.m. There was no public visitation prior to services. Per Marcia’s wishes she wanted to be buried in an “old fashioned manner”. Memorials are requested for the education of her granddaughter, Summre and Skye Bartlett. Memories can be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under Obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.
Marcia Diane (Ecton) Cade was born March 13, 1947 in St. Joseph, Missouri, the daughter of Harold Ecton and Elizabeth (Marlatt) Ecton. She grew to adulthood in the Cameron, Missouri area. After high school, Marcia attended nurses training, graduating with her RN Degree. She was united in marriage to Leonard Bartlett until his untimely death in 1977. To this union two children were born, Misty Linn and Nissa Faye.
In 1995, she was united in marriage to Mark Cade. The couple spent their married life on the Cade Family Homestead west of Lenox. She spent her later years caring for two grandchildren, Summre and Skye Bartlett.
Marcia will be missed by all who knew her,
especially her grandchildren whom she raised as her own children.
