Special Services:
Twylla passed away Monday at the Greater Community Hospice Home in Creston. The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 at the funeral home. Burial will be in the West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be directed to Taylor Ridge Estates or Greater Community Hospice Home.

Funeral services for Twylla Wurster, age 73, of Lenox, who died Monday, November 2, 2009 at the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston were held Thursday, November 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lenox. Interment was held at the West Fairview Cemetery in Lenox. Memorials can be directed to Taylor Ridge Estates of the Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. Memories can be shared with the family at www.ritchiefuneralhome.com under Obituaries. Arrangements were entrusted to the Ritchie Funeral Home of Lenox.

Twylla Ann Wurster was born September 3, 1936, to Herman and Shella (Hays) Wurster at Clearfield, Iowa. Twylla attended country school and Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Iowa. Twylla spent her childhood on the farm with her parents in Taylor County. In 1969, the family moved to Avon Park, Florida. Twylla returned back to Iowa in 1983, and made Lenox Taylor Ridge Estates her home for the next 26 years.

Twylla was baptized in the Clearfield Presbyterian Church. While in Florida, she was a member of the Baptist Church. She attended the Lenox United Methodist Church while residing in Lenox.

Twylla enjoyed playing shuffleboard, going to church, attending family gatherings, working word puzzles, helping in the kitchen, and all the activities at Taylor Ridge Estates.

Preceding Twylla in death were her parents Herman and Shella; brother Willis; and nephew Dennis.

Left to cherish her memories are her brother Howard and wife Dorothy; sister-in-law Lois; seven nieces and nephews; twenty great-nieces and nephews; and eight great-great-nieces and nephews. Along with a number of cousins and friends who also mourn her passing.

Twylla will always be remembered as a wonderful caregiver,
especially to her parents. She had a big hug for everyone.

Memorial contributions may be made to Taylor Ridge Estates or Greater Regional Hospice Home.
