Funeral services for Linda Arlene Suire Odom of Willis will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Willis, 12177 I-45 North, with Bro. Charles Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Valley Cemetery in the Pumpkin community east of New Waverly. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 26, at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home located at 10129 W. FM 1097 in Willis. Linda was born March 11, 1955 in Jennings, Louisiana and passed away September 24, 2008 in Willis, Texas. Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church of Willis and the Red Hat Society. She loved to sing, play the piano and taught piano lessons in the Willis area for more than 20 years. Linda was an inspiration to all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Dallas and Emma Suire. Survivors: Son and daughter-in-law, Christopher and Delores Odom; daughter, Jennifer Odom; grandchildren, Bailey and Joshua Odom all of Willis; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Jean Suire of Ashland, Kansas; brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Candy Suire of Willis, Texas; Numerous nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
