Kathleen Mary Gantek passed away October 25, 2008. Arrangements entrusted to Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis, TX. Kathleen was born August 26, 1936 to David and Kathleen Schnell in Yonkers, NY. She is survived by her husband Ted Gantek of Willis; daughter Kathleen Leendertse and husband Jan of Beaverton, OR; son Brian Kearney of Kenwood, CA; daughter Ellyn Kearney of Pasadena, CA; son James Scanlon and wife Cathy of Cedar Rapids, IA; son Ted Gantek III of Broomfield, CO; son Thomas Gantek of Torrington, CT; grandsons Nathan Leendertse, Evan Leendertse and Patrick Leendertse of Beaverton, OR; grandsons David Scanlon, Christopher Scanlon and Andrew Scanlon of Cedar Rapids, IA; grandson Ted Gantek IV of Broomfield, CO; sister Carol Dwyer and husband William of Mashpee, MA; and sister Marion Jones of Waterbury CT. She was preceded in death by son Kevin Kearney. Visitation with the family will be held Tuesday, October 28 from 9 AM to Noon at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Services will be held Tuesday, October 28 at 2 PM at St. James Episcopal Church in Conroe with Rev. Linda Seracuse officiating. Memorial Donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to the MD Anderson Cancer Research Fund. A Memorial Service will also be held at a later date in Torrington, CT for family and friends.
