Marvin Lewis Cooper, age 72, passed away August 3, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Annie Stewart Cooper; son Marvin Duane Cooper and wife Paula; son Larry Todd Cooper and wife Pennie; grandchildren Derik Todd Cooper, Joshua Taylor Cooper and Cory Chandler Cooper; step-grandchildren Kristy White, Rendi White and Zachary White; honorary grandchild Katie Nicole Watkins; sister Evelyn Sue Presswood; and numerous other family members and friends. Marvin was preceded in death by parents R.C. “Pete” and Robbie Mae Cooper; his in-laws Rev. C. T. and Marie Stewart and sister Mary Helen Kendrick. Visitation with the family is scheduled for Thursday, August 6 from 6-9 PM at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Funeral Services officiated by Rev. Duane Cooper will be held Friday, August 7 at 10 AM in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home with Military Honors conducted by Willis American Legion Post 618 Honor Guard.
