Lillian Lois Nimmo, born April 14, 1910, in Norfork, Arkansas, passed away May 24, 2009. Lillian went home to be with the Lord at the age of 99 surrounded by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Robert and Shirley Nimmo; her daughter and son in law, Judy and Norman Sugg; her grandson, Gene Sugg and wife Stacy; great grand children Alec and Avery Sugg. Sisters Earnasteen Clark and Nettie Joe Whiteker and numerous nephews and nieces.

She was proceded in death by her husband, Robert Lester Nimmo. Her father, Enoch Adams and mother, Birdie Tucker Adams. Her brothers Gene Adams, Wilson Adams and sisters Hattie Whitfield, Goldie Cunningham, Mildred Page, Zora Lou Sledge, and Jessie Lee Zornes.

Lillian loved her family, friends and church. She devoted her life to serving others. Lillian served her country by working in an aircraft plant during World War II. She taught 2nd grade Sunday school for over 50 years and volunteered with the prison ministry. She enjoyed singing in the Senior Community Choir, being a member of the Sew & Sew Club,making jeweled balls and playing cards and dominoes. Lillian was also a wonderful seamstress and homemaker. Her true joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Visitation services will be held at Sam Houston Funeral Home from 5:30 to 7:30 on Wednesday, May 27th. A celebration of her life will be held at First Baptist Church, 1229 Avenue J, in Huntsville on Thursday, May 28th at 10:00 a.m.
