Jodie Spann Peevy was born on January 9, 1949 to Milton and Willie Mae Spann in Livingston, Texas. She graduated from High School in Livingston and then attended business school. After business school, Jodie worked for Rice University and Anderson Greenwood. For the last nineteen years she has worked for Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in the Financial Aid Department. Jodie is survived by her husband, Lamar Peevy; her brother, Milton (Butch) Spann, and four nephews, Dale, Terry, Billy and Ricky Spann. Jodie loved to travel and she and her husband took several cruises including trips to Jamaica, Cozumel, and Alaska and a drive to Tennessee in 2007. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville on Saturday, June, 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM.
