Edith Leora Laskie was born July 13, 1922 in Huntsville, Texas and passed away June 28, 2009. A life time resident of Pine Prairie, she was a hard worker and a lady who loved fishing. Edith was known as the "Cowlady" and her face would light up at any time someone spoke of her cows. She was one of the strongest smallest women that a person could know. Edith was preceded in death by her husband Norman in 1998 after 44 years of marriage. She is survived by son, Mike Laskie; son, Glen Laskie and wife Sherry; grandson, Norman Laskie; granddaughter, Kimberly Kirby and husband Derrick; grandsons Justin and Brandon Laskie and brother-in-law Lloyd Davis.
