Sharon Lee Jackson, resident of Huntsville Texas (Elkins Lake) died Friday evening October 30th 2009 at 70 years old. She was found in her home Thursday evening October 22nd 2009 after she had suffered a severe stroke. She was rushed to Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston Texas, there she became comatose and remained so for seven days. Sharon Jackson was born March 8th 1939 in Alliance, Nebraska born of Arthur and Lucille Bestol. She graduated high school in Bell Flower California 1957 where she met her husband Edmond Wally Jackson, they were married November 1959. Next month would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. They later moved to Dallas, Texas where she worked for 15 years as a data processor for Southland Corporation. In 1981 she had her first and only child Edmond Brent Jackson; she quit her job and became a full time mother. She was active at every school function for the next thirteen years. In 1990 her family moved to Trinity, Texas where she ran the Dairy Queen with her husband. She took great pride at what she did and was not always easy to work for because she expected the same pride in others. She was a loving, compassionate mother and a loyal, supportive wife. She will be greatly missed by everyone that was fortunate enough to know her. She is survived by two wonderful brothers Jim Bestol and Doug Bestol, her husband of 49 years Wally Jackson and her twenty-eight year old son Brent Jackson.
Services will be Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church @ 3:00 P.M. Interment will be at Mayes Addition Oakwood Cemetery.
