Mary Louise (James) Dezelle, 68, passed away on March 24, 2012, in Conroe, Texas, after a lengthy illness. She was born December 20, 1943, in Houston, Texas, to Edward Burl and Arnette (McClain) James.
She is preceded in death by parents and sister, Muriel. Mary is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ronald F. Dezelle; daughter Teresa Bainbridge; son, Keith Tarkington and wife Vicki; son Leroy Dezelle and wife Kathy; daughter, Leah Finney and husband John; 11 grandchildren; sister, Barbara Golden and husband Wayne; mother-in-law, Lyrlene Dezelle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mary graduated from Trinity High School. She retired from TDCJ after 18 years of service.
She loved fishing, dancing, making homemade jelly and spending time taking care of her yard and outdoor plants. Mary loved most of all the special time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dezelle will be held Thursday, March 29, 2012, 11:00 a.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Huntsville, Texas, with Bro. Paul Morris officiating. Interment will follow in Petree Cemetery, Huntsville. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 28, 2012, 5:30-7:30 p.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Huntsville.
