| | | Larry Eugene Davis was born July 1, 1956 in Topeka, Kansas, the son of James Lee and Mary Ann (Jackson) Davis. He passed away suddenly on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the Shenandoah Medical Center at the age of 53 years and 16 days.
Larry grew up in the Shenandoah area and has lived here all his life. He was the owner and operator of A-1 Body Shop in Shenandoah. Larry loved riding motorcycles and was a permanent hang around with the Vietnam Veterans Motorcycle Club (VVMC). He was also an avid poker player.
Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Jackson and his uncle, J.R. Davis.
Survivors include his son, Mike Davis (Keith) of Essex, Iowa; his parents, James and Mary Davis of Shenandoah, Iowa; three brothers, James E. Davis, Kevin Davis and Michael A. Davis all of Shenandoah, Iowa; a sister, Kathryn Davis Paez of Shenandoah, Iowa; three grandchildren, Dakota Davis, Paige Wigley and Taylor Davis; a niece, Angie Miller; a nephew, Jayson Davis; along with many other relatives and friends.
