| | | Alice Muriel Taylor was born January 31, 1914 in Barnam, Wisconsin, the daughter of Delbert and Margaret (Davidson) Wallin. She passed away on Thursday afternoon, August 13, 2009 at her home in Shambaugh, Iowa at the age of 95 years, 6 months and 13 days.
Alice lived and grew up in the Avalon, Wisconsin area. She graduated from high school and attended college for a year at the age of 70, and made the Dean’s List.. She was married to Edward Osthoff and later to Frank C. Taylor. She was a very active member of her church and enjoyed canning and entertaining her family and many friends. She also enjoyed drama, especially directing plays.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sisters and a brother.
She was survived by her children, Byron Osthoff and his wife Betty of Shambaugh, Iowa, Ronald Taylor of Pueblo, Colorado, Janice Payne of Shambaugh, Iowa, Kenneth Taylor and his wife Ruth of Big Rock, Illinois, Terry Taylor and his wife Rose of Avalon, Wisconsin; 19 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; 25 great-great grandchildren; along with many other relatives and friends.
