| | | Shelley Renee Marshall was born December 12, 1970 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Robert Dale and Karen Kay (Ketcham) Wright. She passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2009 at her home in Shenandoah, Iowa at the age of 38 years, 9 months and 15 days.
Shelley grew up in the Bettendorf, Iowa area until she was 6 when her family moved to the Shenandoah area. She attended school in Shenandoah and graduated with the class of 1989. She later attended Iowa Western Community College and obtained her LPN degree. She worked as a surgical tech at the Shenandoah Medical Center for many years. She was an active member of the Norwich United Methodist Church, she enjoyed drawing sketches for the church bulletins, writing poetry and being in the outdoors. She was also very active in her niecesÂ’ and nephewsÂ’ activities.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Darrel Ketcham and George and Jessie Wright.
Survivors include her parents, Robert and Karen Wright of Shenandoah, Iowa; a brother, Scott Wright and his wife Lara of Ankeny, Iowa; a sister, Kristine Stanley and her husband Chris of Shenandoah, Iowa; grandmother, Kathryn Ketcham of Shenandoah, Iowa; nieces and nephews, Lindsay, Megan and Andrew Wright of Ankeny, Iowa and Nicholas Stanley of Shenandoah, Iowa; along with many other relatives and friends.
