| | | Pearl was born July 26, 1917 in Ohioiwa, Nebraska, the daughter of Jesse and Lydia (Thomas) Domeier. She passed away on Tuesday evening, October 27, 2009 at the Elm Heights Care Center in Shenandoah at the age of 92 years, 3 months and 1 day.
Pearl grew up in the York, Nebraska area. She graduated from high school and on October 5, 1938, she was united in marriage to Verdette Bumgarner in Concordia, Kansas. This union was blessed by three children, Verdell, Jane and Donald.
Pearl was a homemaker and worked as a hairdresser. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Falls City, Nebraska. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Verdell Bumgarner; four brothers, Earl, Merle, Dayle and Jesse Domeier; and a sister, Lois Krause.
Pearl is survived by her son, Dr. Donald Bumgarner and her wife Dr. Janet Bumgarner of Shenandoah, Iowa; her daughter, Jane Beekman of Falls City, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Jessica Bumgarner of Shenandoah, Iowa, B.J. Bumgarner of Omaha, Nebraska, Matthew Beekman of California, Davis Beekman of California; a brother, Lawrence Domeier and his wife Esther of Columbus, Nebraska; along with many other relatives and friends.
