| | | Hilda “Nanny” Wiggins, also known as, “Ms. B” to many, was born on November 1, 1925 in Morgan City, Louisiana, and passed away March 10, 2008 in Montgomery, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband Howard H. Wiggins; sons, Ricky Wiggins and Kenny Wiggins.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty Vernon and son-in-law Roy, Montgomery Texas; sisters, Evelyn Morrison and Esther Guarisco, both of Morgan City, Louisiana; grandchildren, Rhonda O’Brien and husband Scott of Montgomery, Texas, Darryl Vernon and wife Mandy of Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, Tiffany Harris and husband David of Montgomery Texas; great grandchildren; Bille Bruley, Meagan Bruley, Christopher O’Brien, Skylar Verret, Dillon Vernon, Hunter Verret, Dakota Vernon, Charley Jeffcoat and Ryan Jeffcoat. She was also, “Nanny” to many other close family friends.
Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation to Dr. Steven Stowers and Michelle Moody with Sadler Clinic, Montgomery and to Lighthouse Hospice for their dedicated care.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, March 12th from 6-8 p.m. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, Texas. Services will take place on Thursday, March 13th at 11:30 a.m. in the Chapel of the funeral home with Brother Chuck Bryce officiating. Interment to follow in Smith Memorial Park, in Willis, Texas. Pallbearers are Tommy Hunter, James Lockhart, John Pace, Ed Pace, Andy Reed and Billie Seiter. All arrangements entrusted to Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery.
