In loving memory of Robert “Bob” L. Smith of Dobbin, Texas who went to be with the Lord, on Good Friday, March 21, 2008 He was 75 years young. He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae of 56 years. Survivors include son, Stanley and wife Linda Smith; daughters, Linda and husband Danny Massingill, Diane Stephens; niece, Susie Mires and children. He leave behind, 10 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Wagner, Pauline Haynes, Katherine Diehl and Barbara Swonke, plus numerous nieces and nephews.
The memories he leaves behind for his family, was his sense of humor and his love for hunting and fishing.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 24th from 5-7 p.m., with Rosary beginning at 7 p.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas A Catholic Mass officiated by Father Ed Kucera, Jr., will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at 10:30 a.m., at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville Texas, with Graveside services in the Shephard Hill Cemetery in Willis, Texas at 2 p.m. Pallbearers assisting the family are Shane Massingill, Robbie, Kevin, and Edward Stephens, Tristan Smith, Joshua Mires. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Roberds.
