| | | Martin “Ray” Armand passed away at his home in Montgomery, Texas on Wednesday,
April 9, 2008 at age 84.
Ray was born in Bunkie, Louisiana to Marion & Mary Ellen Armand on August 16, 1923. He is preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Janet Heaston and Frances Ellen Thedford; brother, M.L. “Bud” Armand; and a granddaughter, Tammy Alias.
Ray is survived by his wife, Ina; daughters, Jean Johnson, Regina Ortale, Patricia Nelius, Angela Greer, Kelli Buell, Pat Bearden; sons, Mickey Aldridge, Stevie Aldridge, Les Pallett, Wesley Gilmore and Chris Gilmore; 36 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, Texas on Friday, April 11, 2008 from 6-8 p.m.. Funeral services officiated by Father Ed Kucera Jr., will be held at Noon on Saturday, April 12, 2008 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Plantersville, Texas. Interment will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The family will host a reception to celebrate his life after the interment at Living Branch Church, 13229 Hwy 105 West, Conroe, Texas. Family has requested, in lieu of flowers, that donations are made in his memory to American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 570127, Houston, Texas 77257-0127.
