| | | Gary Roland Padon Jr. left this earthly realm unexpectedly on July 2, 2008 to join the Lord in the great hunting ground in the sky. Roland was born October 31, 1971 in Houston, Texas. He spent most of his life in Montgomery County, with brief stints in Austin, Colorado, and working along the Gulf. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports of all kinds, and was always happiest outdoors and with his family. Roland’s kindness, sense of humor, and generosity knew no bounds, and was a friend to all he met.
He was a great father to all four of the children in his life. He is survived by daughter, Ashton Padon; son, Slade Padon, soulmate and love of his life, fiancée Jessica Newman, and her children, Savannah and Zhane; parents, Gary and Tina Padon; grandfather Emmitt Padon; sister, Rhonda Padon Gibson, niece, Addisyn Gibson, and Rhonda’s husband, Cris Gibson. He is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Wilma Martin and Andrew Martin Sr., and paternal grandmother, Ruby Padon.
Visitation will be Friday July 4th from 4 to 6 pm, and funeral services are scheduled for 10 am Saturday July 5th at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery. Interment will be at the Martin Cemetery also in Montgomery.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And the rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His Hands.
We love you, and will carry you in our hearts always.
