| | | Mary Lou Dennis was born on August 3, 1930 in Dobbin, Texas and passed away August 7, 2008. Mary Lou spent the majority of her life in Montgomery County where she spent most of her time enjoying her family and friends. She was a hard working and fun loving woman who never met a child she didn’t try to mother. She was the daughter of John and Barbra (Mattern) Mock of Dobbin, Texas. Mary Lou is predeceased by her parents and her brother Johnny Mock.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law; Andy & Marie Dennis of Cypress, Texas and Randal Zane and Sue Dennis of Evergreen, Colorado. She is also survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law; Aubrey and Gary Gates, Becky and Charlie Ivy of Dobbin, Texas and Charlotte and Phil Romine of Port O’Connor, Texas. Mary Lou is the proud and loving grandmother of three grandsons and eight granddaughters. She is the proud and loving great grandmother of five great grandsons and four great granddaughters. Mary Lou is also survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law; Adolph & Theresa Mock of Cypress, Texas, Frank & Tootsie Mock of Dobbin, Texas, Thomas & Pat Mock of Navasota Texas and sisters; Leona Mattern of Tomball, Texas and Monica Diehl of Dobbin, Texas.
Mary Lou was a life long member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Plantersville, Texas. Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, August 8, 2008 from 7-9 p.m., at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9, 2008 at St. Mary’s in Plantersville, Texas. Interment will follow immediately at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family, Cory Dennis, Bill Thomas, Jr., Neil McGrady, Shane Imhoff, Stuart Imhoff, and Cody Lee.
