Betty Jean Baker Parker was born May 11, 1936 in Trinity, Texas and passed into Heaven peacefully surrounded by her daughters on Tuesday, October 7, 2008.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband George R. Parker, Jr. Betty is survived by her children; Ron and Amy Parker of Mesquite, Texas, Pam and Hollis Dealy of Montgomery, Texas, Jeannie Keating and Jack Keating of Lake Jackson, Texas, Rusaw Parker III and Barb Valentine, of Houston, Texas and Kay and Allen Shea of Katy, Texas. Nanny as Betty was lovingly called, had 20 grandchildren; Cameron, Caleb & Chelsea Parker; Les Strech, wife Emily; Lauren Saruk, husband, Tim; Lindsey Burke, husband John, Luke Strech, wife Amie; Liesel, Leah, Lailie & Logan Strech; Jessie Pearce & husband Kevin, Megan & Chris Keating, Brandon Parker, Krystal, Kaytlin & Jimmy Keating and Adam & Harrison Shea. Nanny also had 7 great-grandchildren; Carter & Micah Strech; Bella, Kevin & Bradley Pearce; Eli Burke, Bryan & Ellie Kight..

Betty’s strength and joy came from her large, loving family. Our family would like to thank the loving caregivers at The Oaks at Brookshire. Special thanks to Myron Thomas from Vitas Hospice for his remarkable guidance in our critical hours.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 9th in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery Texas at 11a.m. The family will receive friends
at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 8th from 6-8 p.m. Interment will follow the service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Pallbearers serving the family are her grandsons; Les Strech, Luke Strech, Logan Strech, Cameron Parker, Caleb Parker Chris Keating, Brandon Parker, and Jimmy Keating.
