Robert Michael Maguire, CPA went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 28, 2008. Robert grew up in LaMarque, Texas. He was a graduate of Galveston Ball High School and The University of Houston. He served in the Navy. He was a devoted husband, father and Papa. He made his home for the last twenty-nine years in Katy, Texas where he lived life to the fullest and made a life time of memories with family and friends. He loved his church of Kingsland Baptist and the precious friends he has made through the years. In January, his company Reed Hycalog relocated to Conroe. Robert and Vycki were allowed by their loving Father to build a beautiful home in Montgomery, Texas. It is a dream comes true, and Robert was able to enjoy it for the last ten months. God’s Word tells us in 2 Timothy 4:6-8 “For I am already being poured out like a drink offering and the time has come for my departure. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day – and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.” This was Robert’s life. He fought the fight of cancer like no one else could do. He finished the race with dignity and love. Then he went peacefully on to his real home with the Lord to lay his many crowns at the feet of Jesus. He leaves behind his wife Vycki, daughter, Brandi Maguire Parrish of Granbury, Texas, son, Robert Maguire II of Katy, twin boys Matthew and Jonathan, son-in-law Kelly Parrish and three grandchildren, Zachary, Noah, and Joshua John. He was blessed that so many family, friends and co-workers were able to come and visit with him in the last several months. The memorial service will be at Kingsland Baptist Church of Katy on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 2 PM. Following the service, there will be a reception at the church for fellowship with the family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Maguire Family Irrevocable Trust (set up as a college fund for Matt and Jon) at any Chase Bank.
