Howard Neal Sanders, Sr. of Montgomery, Texas passed away on November 18, 2008 in Conroe at age 81. He was born November 28, 1926 to Willie & Pearl Sanders. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Billie Marie; two sons, Neal Sanders and wife Julia, Mark Sanders and wife Pam; four grandchildren, Charlsie, Kevin, Lori and Marcy; one great-grandson, Ayden. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Navy from 1944 through 1946. He retired from Southwestern Bell with 31 years of service in air conditioning and as an electrician. He loved to hunt and fish, was a gunsmith and loved working on guns Howard was a member of the Montgomery Masonic Lodge No. 25. He loved the Astro’s and never missed a game. He enjoyed watching westerns, especially, John Wayne. He always had a story about growing up and getting into trouble or their many road trips with the family. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 21 at 11 a.m.. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery . Interment will follow the service in Martin Cemetery.
