Elva Walker Lehman was born in Capron, Oklahoma on April 18, 1923 to Fred and Elmina Walker. She was a graduate of Perryton, Texas High School and Oklahoma City General Hospital School of Nursing.

She married Ted Lehman on October 24, 1944. She worked in the nursing profession until 1983 and spent many hours in volunteer service. She loved the Oklahoma State Cowboys, traveling and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of The Woodlands United Methodist Church in The Woodlands, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ted; two daughters, Sandra and Patricia; her parents, three brothers, Delbert, Wendell, and Gerald and four sisters; Thelma, Cleta, Elsie and Bessie. She is survived by her son, Don and daughter-in-law Laura of Montgomery, Texas; daughter, Linda Sloan and son-in-law, Scott of Parker, Colorado; six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly and the prides of her life, her ten great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, January 8th at The Forum in The Woodlands, 5055 West Panther Creek Drive, The Woodlands, Texas. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 8th from 6-8 P.M. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home, Montgomery, Texas. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, January 10th, at 11 A.M. Ochiltree County Cemetery, Perryton, Texas with a viewing starting at 10:30 A.M. until time of service. Flowers for the graveside service may be delivered to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, Perryton, Texas.
