| | | Bobby “Bob” Marcus Hardy loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home at the age of 77 on Saturday, January 10th, 2009. Bobby was a resident of Montgomery, TX since 1982. He was born on January 25, 1931 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bob moved to Pinehurst, Texas shortly after he was born where he remained for most of his childhood. He and his family then moved to Pasadena, TX where he attended and graduated from Pasadena High School in 1948. That same year, Bob enlisted in the United States Air Force. Bob had a deep love for his country and was proud of his four years of service in the military.
Once out of the military, Bob returned home to Pasadena, TX where he married and raised his three children for the next 35 years. He worked for Rohm & Haas for 27 years where he retired in 1981. Bob then began his second career at Montgomery ISD
where he worked until July 2008. During his time in the military, working for Rohm & Haas, and Montgomery ISD, Bob made many cherished and lifetime friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his mother, Lola Pittman Hardy, brother, William Hardy and sister, Jennie B. Hollin. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of nearly 55 yrs., Betty Joyce Hardy, daughter, Tonya Hadash and husband Mickey, sons, Mark King Hardy and wife Jina, Guy D’wayne Hardy and wife Sherri. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren Shane Baker and wife Megan, Justin Hardy, Mendi Hardy, Cody Hardy, Clint Hardy, Clay Hadash, Taylor Hadash and one great-grandson, Hardy Baker. He is also survived by one sister, Jane Hughes and husband Eldon and numerous nieces and a nephew.
Bob and his family would like to say a special thank you to all his church family at Montgomery United Methodist Church whose prayers and calls were greatly appreciated.
They would also like to give a special thanks to the wonderful, caring nurses from the Odyssey Hospice Health Care.
In lieu of flowers, Bob requested that donations be made in his honor to Montgomery United Methodist Church (Building Fund) Montgomery, TX at 22548 Highway 105W.

Mr. Bob Hardy will lie in state on Monday January 12, 2009 from 8 am – 9 pm at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, TX. Family will receive friends
from 6 pm till 9 pm. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 13th at 10 am at Montgomery United Methodist Church with Pastor Nancy Kellond and Pastor Hiram “Doc” Jones officiating.
A private graveside service for family will follow at Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
