| | | Mildred Foster, of Montgomery and affectionately known as “Gobble” passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. She was born on July 17, 1927 to Murf and Ethel Gideon in Montgomery, Texas. Mrs. Foster is survived by her children; son, Glen (Debbie) Foster of Tucson, Arizona, daughter, Carolyn Reed of Richards, Texas; grandchildren, Julie (Slade) Griffith, John (Shala) Reed, Jana Reed, and Katelyn Foster; great-grandchildren, Makenzie & Drew Griffith, Isabel Reed; brothers, Curtis (Mildred) Gideon, Eugene (Marie) Gideon, and a sister, Florine (Hiram) Foster and other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank you to a devoted caregiver, Mary Rico.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 17th from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas. Services will be held on Saturday, July 18th at 11 A.M. at First Baptist Church, Hwy 105, Montgomery with
Rev. Glen Foster officiating. Interment will follow the service in the Pool Cemetery, Hwy 149 North, Richards, Texas.
