Franklin Y. (Frankie) Paul of Montgomery, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2009. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Montgomery, Texas with Pastor Chuck Bryce officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Montgomery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 from 5-7 p.m., at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Hayden, Chuck Kennedy, Johnny Sessums, Ed Bice, Jimmy Webber, Leonard Treat, Russell Chapman and Tony Vento.

Frankie was born January 30, 1945 in Houston, Texas and passed away on September 27, 2009 at his home in Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Harris Paul; father Spencer Paul, Sr., and brother Spencer Paul, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Tannie Ackley and husband Kenneth of Magnolia, Texas; Renee Beken and husband Jason of Cheyenne, Wyoming; sons, Darrell Strickland and wife Beth of Monterey, California; Derek Strickland of Jacksonville, Florida; Daron Strickland of Montgomery, Texas; Ty Paul and wife Carrie of Magnolia, Texas; grandchildren, Shelby Ackley, Sydney Ackley, Weston Beken, Colton Beken, Maura Grace Beken, Hayden Strickland, Elizabeth Strickland, Clay Strickland, Ricky Lester, Laci Paul, Sarah Eubanks and Josh Eubanks and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Frankie was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from the Houston Police Department in January, 1997 after 22 years of service. He was a member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Calf Scramble Committee for 21 years. Frankie was a member of Dacus Baptist Church in Dacus, Texas.
