| | | Nancy "Margaret" Adams, age 93, of Dickinson, North Dakota, formerly of Beach, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2007, at St. Benedict’s Health Center in Dickinson.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, November 16, 2007, at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Beach. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 17, 2007, at the United Community Church in Beach with Pastor Warren Maxted officiating. Interment will follow in the Beach City Cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach is entrusted with arrangements.
Margaret was born on December 21, 1913, in Fryburg, North Dakota, the daughter of Archie and Anna (Nelson) Pilot. Margaret was the first immigrant child born in Fryburg. Margaret received her education in Fryburg, and she belonged to the first Fryburg High School graduating class. On December 2, 1933, Margaret married Lyle Adams in Wibaux, Montana. The couple raised three children.
Margaret was a member of the Beach Garden Club and the Bonnie View Homemakers. She had received the State Homemaker of the Year Award. Margaret was also a member of the United Community Church in Beach.
Margaret enjoyed gardening, cooking, and traveling. She loved being with her grandchildren.
Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle; one grandson, Scotty; one great-grandson, Donovan; two brothers, Al and Art Pilot; and one sister, Martha Pilot.
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Sheri Gehring and her husband John of Mandan, North Dakota; her son, Marlyn Adams and his wife Nilah of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; her daughter Janice Nielsen and her husband Lenus of Sheridan, Wyoming; her brother, John Pilot and his wife Hazel of Watford City, North Dakota; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
