Nellie E. Becker, age 86, of Glendive, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2003 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care Facility in Glendive.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 15, 2003 at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive with Pastor Arlie Rauch officiating. Interment will be in the Dawson Memorial Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Nellie was born on December 21, 1916 in Richey, Montana, the daughter of Chris A. and Lena (Schmidt) Buller. She was raised and educated in Richey. Nellie was united in marriage to Henry Becker on June 25, 1946 at Bloomfield, Montana. They resided in Glendive until 1960 when they moved to Pennington, Minnesota and lived there until 1976. They then moved to La Junta, Colorado until moving back to Glendive where Nellie resided until the time of her death.
Nellie was active with the Sunday School and the women's group of the White Chapel Mennonite Church. She enjoyed doing volunteer work with R.S.V.P. and played in the Senior Citizen's Volunteer Band. She also enjoyed quilting.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 1, 1977; five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include three sons, Randolph G. Becker and his wife Nancy of Toledo, Ohio, Stan Becker and his wife Theresa of Denton, Texas, and Lyle M. Becker and his wife Anne Shannon of Danville, Kentucky; one daughter, Alice Bishop and her husband Ron of Glendive; her sister, Adeline Ost of Glendive; two brothers, Melvin C. Buller of Falls Church, Virginia and Henry C. Buller and his wife Sarah of Goshen, Indiana; four grandchildren.
