| Beach, North Dakota: Daniel “Dan” John Uttech, age 47, passed away at his home in Beach on Friday, March 30, 2012. A Prayer service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 in the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral home in Beach with Father Russell Kovash officiating. Interment will follow in the Beach Lutheran Cemetery in Beach. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach has been entrusted with the arangments.
Dan was born on November 6, 1964 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, a son of Jacklyn Herbert Uttech and Beverly Patricia Dums. He lived his early in Owen, Wisconsin before moving to Sturgis, South Dakota with his family in 1969. In November of 1970 the family moved to Neillsville, Wisconsin, where they stayed for a year before moving to Dickinson, North Dakota in 1971. They stayed in Dickinson for seven years before moving to Beach in 1978 where he has since resided. Dan graduated from Beach High School with the class of 1983. Dan was a member of the Beach Volunteer Fire Department, which was a big part of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and taking care of his dog. Dan loved to go four-wheeling with his family and also loved both of his jobs. He was a custodian at the Lincoln Elementary School in Beach and helped operate for Valley Dairy. He is proceeded in death by his father, Jacklyn Herbert Uttech. Dan is survived by his wife, Janet Egbert Uttech of Beach; mother and step-father, Beverly “Pat” and Dick Kukowski of Beach; sister, Annesse (Jay) Bren and their daughter Laiken Bren of Mandan, North Dakota; mother-in-law, Nettie Egbert of Worland, Wyoming; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Richard and her two children Amber and Zach Richard of Worland and Barbara Hughes of Centerville, Utah.
