|Glendive, Montana: Bruce Linder, age 56, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home in Glendive. A Private Family Graveside service will be held in Sidney, Montana at a later date. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Bruce was born on February 6, 1957 in Havre, Montana, a son of Marvin and Marion (Miller) Linder. He moved with his family to Sidney where he was raised and educated graduating from Sidney High School with the class on 1975. Bruce enjoyed playing baseball in the summer on the Legion team. Following high school, Bruce went to work in the Oil Fields until 1981 when he move back to Havre and attended Montana State University-Northern where he earned an Associates of Art Degree in Computerized Drafting in 1983. Bruce and his family moved to Glendive where he was employed by Williston Basin Industries as a draftsman until 2000 when health issues forced him to retire.
Bruce met and later married Deb Marker in July of 1978 and to this union three children were born. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, agate hunting, cooking and smoking wild game. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers and the Atlanta Braves. Coaching baseball was something he cherished while his children were growing up.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Marion Linder.
Survivors include his three children, Tim Linder of Glendive, Steve (Kelly) Linder of Glendive and Amanda (Bryant) Ingold of Billings, Montana; one brother, Bill Linder of Sidney, Montana; one sister, Carla (Tom) Verhasselt of Sidney; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
