| VIEW/SEND CONDOLENCES|
|Forrest Lawrence "Booger" Tennant, age 92, slipped peacefully into the Happy Hunting Grounds on Wednesday, June 21, 2006, after a brief illness. His daughter and family were by his side.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, July 1, 2006 in the Wibaux Cemetery. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Wibaux is entrusted with arrangements.
Dad was the first of four children born to Richard Lloyd and Margaret (Daley) Tennant in Wibaux, Montana. The first seven years of his life were spent with his three younger sisters on the family farm. After his mother's death, his father married Marie Streitz. They were blessed with five more children. At the age of fourteen he went to work on a construction crew in Wibaux. This started a career which would take him all over the northwest, building roads and dams. In later years he would work as a mechanic on many of the ranches in remote Montana. Dad spent the war years in Alaska building airstrips and was one of the first to work the North Slope.
Dadís great love of the outdoors, and the need to wander, made him an avid hunter and fisherman. Dad would spend much of his time alone in the remote wilderness with his ever faithful dog. His love of the outdoors was passed on to all his children and in later years he took great pleasure spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, telling wild tales and teaching them to play cards.
Forrest is survived by his sisters, Sheila Bowman and her husband Herbert of Noblesville, IN, Georgia Hilderbrand of Pahrump, NV, Mary Ann Johnson and her husband Duane of Riverton, WY; brothers, Larry Tennant and his wife Marilyn of Glen Rock, WY, and Clifford Tennant, and his wife Ruby of Wibaux, MT; seven children Janice Biley, Kirkland, WA; Cherry and her husband Dean of Vashon Island, WA, Susan Williams and her husband Jay, Forrest Tennant and his wife Cathy, and Richard Tennant, all of Spokane, WA; Sheilah Buffington and her husband Jerry of Anchorage, AK; and Margaret Thomlinson and her husband Mark of Rocklin, CA; three stepdaughters Dori Howell, Camellia Eddy, and Eileen Brown, and six step grandchildren, all of Missoula, MT, 33 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Please remember Forrest in all the beauty of sunrises and sunsets of life and keep him in your heart.
