| | | Ruth Anerson, age 96, of Glendive, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2003 at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care Facility in Glendive.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, February 1, 2003 at the Medicine Lake Cemetery at Medicine Lake, Montana with Pastor Johnette Grefe officiating. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.
Ruth was born on December 27, 1906 near Minot, North Dakota, the daughter of Oliver H. and Nancy Ann (Campbell) Cartmell. She received her education in Medicine Lake, Montana. She moved with her family to the Sheridan and Roosevelt Counties of Montana. Ruth was united in marriage to Axel Groskurth and to this union three children were born. Ruth and Axel were later divorce. Ruth married Albert Anerson on June 21, 1930 and to this union one child was born. Ruth lived in Sidney and Helena, Montana before moving to Glendive in 1989 where she resided until the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Albert in 1960; her son, Henry Groskurth in 1998; three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include three daughters, Margaret Pederson and her husband Pete of Las Vegas, Nevada, Anne Nickerson and her husband Jack of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Kellee McKeown of Willcox, Arizona; 8 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews in Montana, Washington and Michigan.
