| | | Glendive, Montana: Frank Edward Dey Sr., 73, of Glendive, Montana, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the Billings Clinic in Billings, Montana surrounded by his family. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 from 1:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive and one hour prior to service at the church. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2009, at 2:00 P.M., at the First Baptist Church in Glendive with Pastor Roy Perry officiating. Interment with military honors will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with arrangements.
Frank was born June 22, 1936 in Bloomfield, Montana the son of Joseph and Ella Pauline (Kittler) Dey. He resided in the Bloomfield area for many years until joining the United States Army in September of 1954. Frank was honorably discharged from military service in August of 1957. Frank had been employed by the Roscoe Steel and Culvert Company for over 14 years in Billings as a sandblaster and painter until his retirement in 1982. On June 23, 2007, Frank married Rosanne Schmidt in Glendive.
Frank was kind hearted and loved telling stories, especially about his kids. He enjoyed doing little things around the house. He also loved fishing, visiting with his friends and hunting in his early years. Frank loved to work on puzzles and crosswords, collecting agates and enjoyed watching "Cops" on television. Frank was a loving dad, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Junior, Tony, Tommy and John and his favorite dog Chi Chi.
Frank is survived by his wife, Rosanne of Glendive; seven daughters, Elizabeth "Beth" Sundheim of Culbertson, Montana; Mary Kay Disney of Kalispel, Montana; Florence Barnhardt and her husband Dale of Billings; Denise James and her husband Brad of Columbus, Montana; Frances Sayler of Billings; Ella Smith and her husband Stan of Billings; Jennifer Dey of Roundup, Montana; two sons, Frank Jr. "Sonny" Dey and his wife Marcia of Billings; Richard Dey and his wife Eileen of Miles City, Montana; one brother, Paul Dey and his wife Pat of Billings; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
