Nancy M. Crotts, 67, formerly of 221 Harrison Street in Boone, passed away at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone on Thursday morning, October 22, 2009 where she had been a resident for the past couple of weeks.

She was born on June 7, 1942 in Ft. Dodge, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Darlene (Yates) Lowe.

On July 30, 1959, she married C. Melvin Crotts, Sr. at the First Assembly of God Church in Ft. Dodge.

Over the years, Nancy was a homemaker, foster grandparent, cook at the Boone County Hospital, a caretaker at Boone River Valley Care Facility and bookkeeper at M&M Printing

Her parents and husband preceded her in death.

Survivors include June Densing of New York; C. Melvin Crotts, Jr. of Ft. Dodge; April (Craig) Staebler of Boone; Tammy Crotts of Webster City; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers Harold “Butch” Lowe, Danny Lowe, Claude “Sonny” Lowe and Tommy Lowe; sisters Claudia “Sissy” Frazier, Georgia Vinsant, Sheri Purcell and Michelle Patterson.

Services will be held on Monday afternoon, October 26th at 1:30 p.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone with Pastor Dick Dahle officiating.

Interment will be in Boone Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel on Sunday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present during that time to greet friends. Visitations will continue on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial may direct their gift to the family.
