CAN MUSIC FROM A CD BE USED IN A VIDEO TRIBUTE
The disappointing answer to this request is “NO”. Our funeral home’s BMI, ASCAP, SESAC and SOCAN licenses allow us to play music in our funeral home over our sound system, but “do not” include the right to “synchronize” music to produce a video or publish it on the Internet. Unfortunately, “popular” music found on a CD and often times requested by the family cannot be used to produce a Video Tribute unless the appropriate music licenses have been negotiated with both the recording company and the composer.
All of the music used by Stark-Welin Funeral Directors, in the production of our Video Tribute, is fully licensed allowing us to play the Video Tribute in our funeral home, on the Internet or make copies of the Video Tribute to be given to the family and their friends.

| Cathleen Sue Conine, 12 day old daughter of Andy and Caroline (Freese) Conine of 814 8th Street in Boone passed away at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines on Sunday, May 10, 2009 where she was born on Tuesday, April 28, 2009.
Great-grandparents and great-great-grandparents preceded her in death. Survivors include her parents, Andy and Caroline of Boone; her twin sister Natasha; grandparents Richard Freese of Manson, Iowa, Phil and Clarann Schroder, Tonya Conine and Ronald Bayes all of Boone; great-grandparents Darrel and Virginia Freese of Manson,Iowa, Dale and Leutta Lightfoot of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Zelda Rae Lightfoot of Manson, Iowa and Mary Conine of Boone; a great-great-grandmother Bertha Kietzmann of Rockwell City, Iowa; 4 uncles Adrian Conine of Boone, Allen Conine of Apple Valley, California, Troy Schroder of Norfolk, Virginia, and James Takacs of Ft. Dodge, Iowa; and an aunt Jessica Freese of Ft. Dodge, Iowa. Services were held on Wednesday morning, May 13th at 10:00 a.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone with Rev. Darrel Deradcliffe officiating. Interment was in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone. | ||
