Mr. Lyndel Clark, age 67, of Lexa, formerly of Forrest City, died Wednesday at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis. He had been in poor health for the past several years.

Mr. Clark was born March 15, 1940, in Forrest City, and was the son of Rufus Lynn Clark and Freddie Fern Frost Clark. He lived in St. Francis and Phillips County most of his life, was a truck driver, and a member of the Beck Spur Baptist Church.

Mr. Clark married Jessie Lee and she preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by two sons;
Mr. Eric Clark of Lexa and Mr. George Allen Clark of Tennessee, three daughters; Mrs. Linda Sue Cook and Mrs. Cherryl Baker both of Tennessee and Mrs. Sherry Davenport of Forrest City, one step-daughter, Mrs. Penny Martin of Forrest City, nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He had one sister, Betty Lou Rayburn and one brother, G.W. Clark, who both preceded him in death.

Services for Mr. Clark will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the online registry.
