| | | Mr. Archie Wade Ford age 92, of Forrest City, Arkansas died Saturday, Dec. 29, at the Forrest City Medical Center.
Mr. Ford was born Sept.28, 1915, in Des Arc, Arkansas. He was the son of James Ford and Fleetie Stanley Ford. Mr. Ford lived in Forrest City all of his life where he had worked at the Ford Food Center and the First National Bank, both for several years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was the oldest living male member. Mr. Ford was very fond of woodworking and was a Veteran of World War II.
Mr. Ford married Mary Bernard and she preceded him in 1970, then married Erline Jones and she preceded him in 1987 then married Lois Spivey in 1989. She survives him along with two sons, Charles Wade Ford of Jonesboro and Alan Bernard Ford of Pickwick Dam, Tennessee; a daughter, Maribeth Chism of Forrest City; a sister, Dora Faye Harris of Booneville, Arkansas; a stepdaughter, Vicki Skelton of Forrest City; two stepsons, Richard Ike Spivey Jr. of Kennewick, Washington and Ben Spivey of Los Angeles. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 6 step grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 step-great grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday, December 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 at the funeral home Sunday. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the First Baptist Church or to a charity of ones choice. Visit online registry at stevensfuneralhome.net.
