| | | Mrs. Mary Maxine Farmer English age 80, of Forrest City, died Thursday, March 27, 2008 at her home.
Mrs. English was born September 26, 1927 in Wynne. She was the daughter of Isom Byrd “Pete” Farmer and Leona Gibson Farmer. Mrs. English had lived in Forrest City all of her life, had work for the State Highway Department and was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Mrs. English married James “Jimmy” English Sr. in 1951. He survives her along with a daughter, Susie Goins of Forrest City; two sons, Martin James of Fort Walton Beach and James English Jr. of Dallas; a brother, Martin Farmer of Jonesboro. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Forrest City. Burial will follow at Harris Chapel Cemetery.
