| | | Mrs. Geraldine F. Callahan, age 82, of Forrest City, died Wednesday at the Crittenden Memorial Hospital in West Memphis.
Mrs. Callahan was born November 22, 1925, in Colt, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Olen Robert Collie and Maud Mae Myers Collie. She was a homemaker, gardener, loved fishing, flowers, and friends, and was a member of the Widener Baptist Church.
Mrs. Callahan married Dow Callahan, December 28, 1939 and were married for sixty-eight and a half years. He survives her along with five sons and daughter-in-laws; Bill Callahan of Forrest City, Tommy Callahan and wife, Betty of Horseshoe Lake, Jimmy Callahan and wife, Marcella of Little Rock, Wayne Callahan and wife, Rita of Paragould, and Garry Callahan and wife, Sharon of Dover, Arkansas, one daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn Miller and husband, Dan of Texarkana, Texas, one sister, Edna Laws of West Memphis, one brother, Donald Collie of Clarksville, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Genevieve Caylor, three brothers; Jesse, Raymond, and Paul Collie, and one daughter-in-law, Mary Callahan.
Services for Mrs. Callahan will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
