| | | Mrs. Amy Duvall Ellis, age 104, died Wednesday at the Care Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She had been in poor health for the past week.
Mrs. Ellis was born February 7, 1904, in Palestine, and was the daughter of Walter H. Duvall and Mary Elizabeth Halbert Duvall. She lived in Forrest City until moving to Louisiana, was retired from Stevens Funeral Home, and was a Baptist.
Mrs. Ellis married Homer P. Ellis in 1920, and he preceded her in death in 1968. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth E. Fancher of Denham Springs, Louisiana, one sister; Margery Johnston of Pearland, Texas, one granddaughter, Sandra F. Stafford of Denham Springs, five great-grandchildren; Travis, Kay, Sherry, Brian, and Russell, and ten great-great-grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Ellis will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
