| | | Mr. Aubrey Woodrow Callahan, age 83, of Colt, died Thursday at his daughter's home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past two years.
Mr. Callahan was born September 27, 1924, in Madison, and was the son of James Franklin Callahan and Myrtle Callahan. He lived in Madison and Colt most of his life, was retired from Eaton Corporation after thirty years of service, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Callahan married Jessie Marcus in 1946, and she preceded him in death in 1991. He is survived by two sons; James Callahan of Colt and Donald Callahan of Wynne, two daughters; Ann Moore of Osceola and Martha Anderson of Forrest City, one brother, Dow Callahan of Tuni, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. He had one son, Gary Callahan, who preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Callahan will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, with burial in Marianna Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. You may log on to stevensfuneralhome.net for the on line registry.
