Mr. Thomas Eugene Eldridge, age 72, of Heber Springs, formerly of Forrest City, died Friday at the U.A.M.S. Hospital in Little Rock. He had been in the hospital for the past month.

Mr. Eldridge was born December 16, 1935, in Forrest City, and was the son of Fred Eldridge Sr. and Fannie Belle Davis Eldridge. He lived in Forrest City until moving to Heber Springs, was a retired electrical contractor, was a Gideon, and a member of the Sugarloaf Baptist Church.

Mr. Eldridge married Maxie Ellis Spencer in 1989, and she survives him along with one son and daughter-in-law, Michael Eldridge, and Brenda, of Marion, three daughters and son-in-laws; Eugenia Gray, and husband Don, of Pueblo, Colorado, Julie Dye, and husband, Stacy, and Debra Evanoff, of Heber Springs, one step-son and wife, Michael Spencer and Angie, of Forrest City, two step-daughters; and husbands, Debra Sartain and Ronnie, of Ida, Arkansas, and Jodie Causey, and Stevie, of Forrest City, one brother, Fred Eldridge, of Forrest City, twenty-one grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He had one brother, George Elidridge, who preceded him in death.

Services for Mr. Eldridge will be held at the Sugarloaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs, 11:00 A.M.,
Monday. Visitation will be Sunday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, 3:30 P.M. Monday.
