Mrs. Edna Earl Devazier, age 88, of Caldwell, died Sunday at the Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis.

Mrs. Devazier was born March 6, 1920, in Cherry Valley, Arkansas, and was the daughter of Louis T. Burns and Ruby Barrett Burns. She lived in Caldwell most of her life, retired from Cohen's Department Store in 1984, and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Caldwell.

Mrs. Devazier married Lenard 'Shorty' Devazier in 1938, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She is survived by four sons and daughter-in-laws; W. L. and LaNan Devazier, Don and Ann Devazier, and Leonard Earl and Stephanie Devazier, all of Caldwell, and Jerry and Bonnie Devazier of Wynne, four brothers; Louis Burns of Caldwell, Jerry Burns of Jacksonville, Florida, John Burns of Elizabeth, Arkansas, and Sidney Burns of Forrest City, one sister, Claudine Stewart of Hot Springs, grandchildren; Mike and Kelly Devazier of Wynne, Pam Devazier of Forrest City, Paula and Devin Owens of Caldwell, Paul Devazier of Forrest City, Michelle and Chris Bennett of Wynne, Heath and Sarah Devazier of Forrest City, Hunter Devazier of Caldwell, and Harrison Devazier of Caldwell, great-grandchildren; Chelsea, Brooklyn and Brady Devazier, Reeves, Haven, Hunter and Hensley Bennett, Jackson, Reid, Emma Kate, and Hudson Owens, and a daughter-in-law, Linda Devazier. A host of nieces and nephews as well as a large extended family and friends.

Services for Mrs. Devazier will be held at the First Baptist Church of Caldwell, 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, with Burial in Lindsey Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home, with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
