| | | Mr. James Elbert “Red” Devazier age 73 of Colt, Arkansas died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at the Cross Ridge Hospital in Wynne. He had been in poor health the past four years.
Mr. Devazier was born October 20, 1935 in Caldwell, Arkansas. He was the son of Ollie Devazier and Allie Turner Devazier. He had lived in St. Francis County all of his life, was retired from St. Francis Material Company, was in the National Guard for eleven years and was a member of Smith Chapel Baptist Church.
Mr. Devazier married Mable Bridges in 1976. She survives him along with a daughter, Mary Jo Trevino of Forrest City; two sons, Donald Devazier of Forrest City and Ronald Devazier of Blytheville; three stepdaughters, Janet Coats of Cherry Valley, Lou Coleman of Martin, Tennessee and Betty Fitzgerald of Fulton, Kentucky; a stepson Cliff Coleman of California; a sister, Louise Vance of Lonoke. He is also survived 20 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Stevens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Bell Cemetery in Palestine. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 Friday at the funeral home. Visit online registry at StevensFuneralHome.net. Under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.
