| | | Mr. Ben F. Day Sr., age 77, of Forrest City, died Wednesday at his home in Forrest City. He had been in poor health for the past year.
Mr. Day was born August 3, 1931, in Forrest City, and was the son of Frank Day and Georgie Triplett Day. He lived in St. Francis County most of his life, was retired from Yale Industries and as a Plumber and Electrician, was a Veteran of the Army, and was a Baptist.
Mr. Day married Delzie Ambrose in 1964, and she survives him along with three sons; Ben Day Jr., of West Memphis, and William Summers and Carroll Summers, both of Forrest City, two daughters; Jena Wilson of Forrest City, and Debra Stephenson of Pittsburg, Kansas, one sister, Betty Scheleppi of Texas, eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He had one son, Tony Summers, who preceded him in death.
Services for Mr. Day will be held at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 2:00 P.M., Sunday, with burial in Forrest Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening 6:00 till 8:00 P.M., at Stevens Funeral Home with Stevens Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
